This book opens with the following message: «There are many ways to travel around a city: Mazatlán by plane, Paris by swimming, Valencia on horseback, Helsinki browsing through an old photo album, Kapaa in the story of a daring one-armed surfer. In any case, whoever absorbs a city and bears witness to it must take the precaution to keep their eyes wide open. Not in this book! The visions which are compiled here and which we want to share with you were obtained with hundreds of tightly shut little eyes. We invite you to discover extraordinary events through the dreams of children. In this book, you will be able to contemplate the supernatural universe which encloses Oaxaca when the sky darkens and a part of the world sleeps».

During the month of November 2014, Roger Omar visited schools and libraries in the city of Oaxaca and its outskirts with the aim to compile the dreams of Oxacan girls and boys. The most tangible fruits of this experience (which its main character narrates in detail in the final pages of this book) are over a thousand children's dreams, which gathered here, represent a small but significant sample.

These 99 dreams with their corresponding illustrations are reproduced in the most faithful way possible and except for a very extensive text or a drawing which had to be adapted to the format, all the collaborations conserve the original characteristics of the paper and the writing. The spelling and syntax peculiarities of the authors as well as each of their numerous mistakes have also been kept. We recommend that readers look at them indulgently, because most likely, the greater part of these young people were not completely awake when they wrote what they had been dreaming about just a moment before.
