This book compiles all the graphic stories under the same title that previously appeared in different publications. These tales are only a single page long; many have been invented in joint collaboration with other illustrator friends. Spiced up with black humour, they are halfway between illustrated literature and spontaneous sketches. The author deals with a wide range of genres and even delves into the epigram and metaphysical drama.

"Fourteen years ago, I wrote the title "Tales of the Legume Star" in one of my notebooks"–Olivares says– "and underneath, I drew the first story in a series that I have worked on sporadically ever since. The result, viewed from a time perspective, has ended up looking more like a lively illustrated diary than a work which has been done according to a specific plan".

These 77 minimal stories, drawn in black and write, are testimony of the passage of time and reunions with friends. They also reveal the creative devices of their author, since they also display an important repertory of graphic and narrative resources, which summarize the doubts and worries that have accompanied him throughout his life path.
